Fighters who are disqualified during their bout for willful gross rule violations, or unprofessional performance, or who represent themselves improperly following their bout, may be subject to penalties, at the discretion of the ISKA Representative, with the approval of the ISKA Commissioner.
Freestyle Kickboxing Rules | | | (a) | The rounds are 1.5 x 1 minute for novice fighters (3 fights or under). | | | (b) | If one opponent has more than 3 fights the round duration will still be under novice rules. | | | (c) | 2x1 minute rounds for above novice fights. | | | (d) | Round house type kicks >are allowed to the legs above and below the knee. | | | (e) | Shin Guards of equal thickness are required for novice fighters. | | | (f) | Shin guards are optional for above novice fighters, (See Class Structure). | | | (g) | Both fighters shin pads are to be of equal thickness, unless agreed upon by both fighters. | | | (h) | Novice type fighters may only fight 3 round bouts. | | | | | | Oriental Rules | | | Oriental rules follow the free style rules except for the following: | | | | | | | (a) | Shin Guards and foot pads are not aloud to be worn unless agreed upon by both trainers. | | | (b) | Knee strikes are permitted to the body and head. | | | (c) | Limited neck wrestling and grapple is allowed if knee strikes are working, grapple is stopped before 10 secs. | | | (d) | Dumping is allowed. | | | (e) | Back fist is allowed. | | | (f) | Catching and holding the kick leg and striking once is allowed. | | | | | | Muay Thai Style Rules | | | Muay Thai rules follow the Oriental rules except for the following: | | | | | | | (a) | Elbow strikes are permitted. | | | (b) | Hook kicks and spinning hook kicks may be used to the legal targets on the legs. | | | (c) | Neck wrestling and grapple is allowed if knee strikes are working, grapple is stopped after no strikes are immediate. | | | (d) | All fights may be 2 or 3 minute rounds. | | | (e) | World title fights will be 7 x 2 or 5 x 3 minute rounds. |
